Customer-account Reorder

Overview

Signed-in customers can reorder configured products from their store account. That uses the Appify Reorder block in Checkout and customer accounts — not the product theme.

Shopify’s Buy again button only adds the variant and drops the original configuration. Turn it off, then add Appify Reorder.

Steps

1. Disable Buy again

  1. Open the checkout and customer accounts editor on the Orders page.
  2. Open Settings (the gear icon).
  3. Scroll to Buy again button.
  4. Turn off Allow customers to reorder.
  5. Save.

2. Enable Appify Reorder

  1. Stay in the same editor on the Orders page.
  2. Open the Apps sidebar.
  3. Add Appify Reorder to Orders and Order status.
  4. Save.

The editor preview often hides app extensions. Check the live account page after you save: sign in, open Orders, then open an order.

Whole-order reorder stays in the Appify Reorder block and the order action menu.

Details

  • Appify Reorder is not added on the Online Store product template.
  • Anyone who can open the order can click Reorder. The items go into their cart.
