Overview
A standalone calculator is not tied to any Shopify product. Instead of appearing on product pages, it lives on any page you choose — a landing page, a custom page, or your homepage. Standalone calculators are ideal for quote builders, estimation tools, or informational calculators that don't need Add to Cart functionality. You configure standalone mode in Calculator Editor → Placement & Styling under the Placement section.
Steps
- In the Placement section, select Not linked to a product — Standalone calculator from the placement type dropdown.
- A unique Standalone Calculator ID is generated and displayed. Copy this ID.
- Open the Shopify Theme Customizer for the page where you want the calculator to appear.
- Add the CalcAI Calculator block to the page template.
- Paste the Standalone Calculator ID into the block's settings.
- Click Save in the Theme Customizer.
You can embed the same standalone calculator on multiple pages by reusing the same ID.

Examples
- Flooring estimate tool — You create a calculator that lets visitors enter room dimensions and flooring type to get a price estimate. You embed it on a "Get a Quote" page using the standalone ID. Customers see the estimate but contact you to place the order.
- Shipping cost calculator — You add a standalone calculator to your FAQ page that helps customers estimate shipping costs by entering package dimensions and destination.
