Calculator Templates

Overview

Calculator templates are pre-built calculator configurations you can browse, preview, and install into your store as a new draft calculator. They are not the same as style templates in the editor (those only control colors and CSS).

Go to Appify CPO → Calculators → Templates to open the catalog.

Steps

Browse templates

  1. Open Appify CPO → Calculators.
  2. Click the Templates tab.
  3. Search by name or filter by category and tags.
  4. Click a template title or the preview icon to open the storefront preview.

Preview before installing

The preview shows how the calculator and price summary may look on a product page or wide layout. You can interact with options and see pricing update when the template includes formulas.

Use See all settings (read-only) to tour the full configuration without editing the catalog copy.

Install to your store

  1. On the preview page, click Install to my store.
  2. Confirm in the dialog.
  3. A new draft calculator is added to My calculators and opens in the editor.
  4. Read the Your template is installed checklist that appears — it summarizes what you still need to do before going live.

Each install is a one-time copy. Changes you make afterward are yours only — the catalog template is not updated and does not sync back.

After installing — finish setup before going live

Work through these steps in the editor:

  1. Assign products — Open the placement step and link the calculator to the products where it should appear.
  2. Review options and pricing — Check option labels, formulas, quantity rules, and the price summary. Adjust anything that does not match your products.
  3. Replace images — Swap any placeholder or missing images with your own product or option images.
  4. Save and publish — Save your draft, then publish when you are ready for the live version to update on your store.
  5. Add to your theme — In the Shopify theme editor, add the Appify CPO calculator block to your product page (or use your theme integration) and turn the calculator live.

Topic What to expect
Fresh start Installed calculators start as draft v1 with a new id. They do not include publish history or checkpoints from the source calculator.
From template badge Calculators installed from the catalog show a From template badge on the Calculators list.
Product assignment Placement is cleared on install. Assign products before going live.
Images & uploads Product images and shop-specific upload paths from the template source may need to be replaced with your own assets.
Customization After install, edit everything like any other calculator — options, formulas, styling, placement, and publish flow.
Product designer Templates that use the product designer may have limited preview in the catalog. Install to your store to test the full designer experience.
Style templates Editor style templates (Clean, Modern, etc.) are separate — they change look-and-feel CSS, not the calculator structure from the catalog.
